How Brenden’s Ride Began

Brenden’s Ride was established in 2014 by Brenden Parker and his dad, Baron, from a simple but powerful idea — that every child and young adult with disabilities should have the opportunity to experience the joy of camp.

After spending seven summers at Easter Seals Camp Squamish, Brenden experienced firsthand the impact camp can have. It wasn’t just about the activities — it was about building confidence, forming lifelong friendships, and creating unforgettable memories. For Brenden, one of the most meaningful moments was seeing the pure happiness on campers’ faces after a week at camp — something he believed every child deserved to experience.

When Brenden graduated from camp, he didn’t want that experience to stop with him. Together with his dad, he turned that passion into action. Knowing his dad’s love for motorcycles, they came up with the idea of a ride — a way to bring people together while raising funds to help send kids to camp. Their mission was clear: cover the full cost of camp tuition and support the staff who make these life-changing experiences possible.

What started as a small idea quickly grew into something much bigger. Brenden’s Ride has become an annual event that brings together motorcycle and car enthusiasts from across the Lower Mainland, all united by a shared purpose — to give back and make a difference. Since its inception, the ride has raised over $225,000 for local charities and programs that empower individuals with disabilities to dream, grow, and thrive.

The Ride Today

The event, known as Brenden’s Ride, continues to grow each year. Riders gather for breakfast in Cloverdale before heading out together on a scenic ride, raising both funds and awareness along the way. Creating not just a fundraiser, but a full-day experience built around community and connection.

Supporting Meaningful Causes

While Brenden’s Ride has proudly supported Easter Seals since the beginning, the event continues to expand its impact..

After one of our most successful years supporting VASS, the momentum was strong — but like many events, Brenden’s Ride was forced to pause due to COVID-19. While the break was challenging, the mission never faded.

In February 2025, Brenden’s dad, Baron, passed away. The following month, in March 2025, a memorial ride was held in his honour — bringing together the same community he helped build. During that ride, stories were shared, memories were celebrated, and one thing became clear: the conversation about bringing Brenden’s Ride back had never stopped. It was always something that lived on in the hearts of those closest to it.

Now, Brenden’s Ride is back, stronger than ever — continuing not only its original mission, but also carrying forward Baron’s legacy and the impact he helped create.

The Future of Brenden's Ride

At its core, Brenden’s Ride is about more than just a single event — it’s about creating opportunities, building community, and continuing a legacy of giving back. What began as one idea between a father and son has grown into something far greater — a movement rooted in passion, purpose, and heart.

And it all comes back to the same belief Brenden had from the start: every child and young adult deserves the chance to create lifelong memories, feel included, and experience the joy of simply being a kid.
